Stakeholders

Stakeholder participation is an important part of the consultation process.  The Environmental Screening Process consultation program for the Port Fuels & Materials Services, Inc. proposed Energy-From-Waste (EFW) facility is currently underway and serves to:

  • Engage potentially interested persons;

  • Communicate how the project may affect the environment;

  • Notify interested persons on upcoming events and consultation opportunities;

  • Inform interested persons where, when and how they can be involved;

  • Identify interested persons concerns and issues related to the project;

  • Dialogue with interested persons about concerns and issues raised during the program;

  • Document how interested persons input is taken into account in the Environmental Screening Process;

  • Commence early in the Environmental Screening Process and continue throughout the process as necessary; and

  • Maintain a record and mailing list of all participants in the consultation process, a record of interested persons concerns and issues, and a record of how any concerns and issues have been addressed during the Environmental Screening Process.

Consultation activities such as public open houses provide stakeholders the opportunity to engage with the project team, learn more about the project and to provide input and ask additional questions regarding the project.

Public Open Houses were held on Thursday, April 17, 2014 and Thursday, November 13, 2014. Information about future consultation events for the project will be posted on this website.

We welcome your questions and comments. Should you have any questions or comments, or wish to be added to the project mailing list to receive updates as the project progresses, please contact us.
